Project Description

Dalkom Somalia, a leading telecommunications provider and submarine cable landing operator, has awarded a strategic contract to FONS Technology and Consultants for the design, implementation, and commissioning of a fiber optic metro ring network. This network is designed to extend from Dalkom’s Cable Landing Station at Aden Abdulle International Airport, forming a metro ring around the airport compound, and expanding outward into the greater Mogadishu metropolitan area, connecting a range of high-priority and enterprise clients. This infrastructure project plays a vital role in extending the reach of international subsea bandwidth from the DARE1 and other cable systems into the local Somali digital ecosystem. The project includes end-to-end consulting, route design, fiber deployment, and technical training, ensuring sustainable management and future-proof growth.
