SomaliREN Fiber Link, Subcontractor: FONS
Project Description
The Somali Research and Education Network (SomaliREN) has initiated a strategic project to establish a dedicated fiber optic link between the SomaliREN Headquarters and the Cable Landing Station near Aden Abdulle International Airport, aimed at securing high-speed, direct access to global research and education networks. As part of this national connectivity initiative, FONS Technology and Consultants has been appointed as a specialized subcontractor for the implementation, consulting, and training components of the project. FONS will support the primary contractor by delivering technical expertise, civil infrastructure deployment, and capacity-building services tailored for SomaliREN’s long-term operational independence
